The first official wedding session I had ever done, and I can honestly say, it was the hardest eights hours of shooting that I had ever done. That being said, it was one of the most satisfying feelings I had ever experienced being a photographer. I learned so much that day: what and what not to do, equipment I will need and others I can leave behind, and to always be prepared for anything. I also had the experience of watching one of my closest friends marry the love of her life and it was an amazing experience.
The only regret I have with flying a UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems or Drone) is that the batteries do not last as long as I would prefer. The point of views and angles that I achieve with the Phantom 4 would not be possible without much expense to myself. Federal regulations make it difficult to fly in certain areas, but every chance I am able to I am in the air.
Ready. If there is one word I can use to describe this beauty, it would be "ready". While she can be a handful to deal with, she is always willing and able to throw herself in front of the camera.
There are some subjects which can only be appreciated the closer you get to them. You get to take in details you otherwise would have glossed over. Some of these shots can also be a trial in patience since you are not often in control of your subject.
Photo shoots can often times be stressful and tedious. In this instance that was not the case. We were having so much fun shooting we hardly noticed the hours fly by. So comfortable and naturally graceful in front of the camera, this was one of the easiest shoots I have ever done.
Mistakenly unassuming, landscapes have an ability to tell such a unique story if you slow down enough to appreciate them. There is beuty in everything all around us and I enjoy taking the time to capture it at every possible moment.
